Meet The Mourners – Part 4 – Skeletons Cry No Tears… She was always crying. As long as she could remember. Crying dry. Because skeletons have no tears. One night after crying for 24 hours straight her hand transformed into a tissue! She’d make sure she was always invited to the biggest funerals. When she heard about the funeral for Halloween she knew she’d have to be there. So here she is, tissue hand and all, crying dry over the death of Halloween. Meet The Mourners… Part 3 – The Priest. It was a cold night and there was much grief and anguish in the group of Mourners who gathered. The Priest decided to lament the loss of Halloween but spoke also of it’s rebirth… “While we cry over the loss of this special Holiday, rejoice in fact for those who might ignore this ban and offer candy instead…” The crowd cheered and their shouts of joy could be heard far and wide… #31skeletons #theskeletonhouse #longlivehalloween

Meet The Mourners… Part 2 – Mr. & Mrs. Skellington. Mr. Skellington remembers the first time he saw Halloween. He had been out walking with Mrs. Skellington one chilly evening and they had come upon an old house. The house was dark except for a lone illuminated jack-o’-lantern in the window. That jack-o’-lantern was so bright and transfromed the old shack into the spookiest house on the block. Mr. Skellington realized then the true nature of Halloween and was in love ever since. Meet The Mourners… Part 1 – The Widow & Top Hat.

The Widow was always a fan of Halloween. She had met him at an early age and they fell in love soon after. Once, while on a trip to Salem, The Widow asked Halloween “what is your one big regret in life?” Halloween replied “not marrying you on October 30th, Devil’s Night, when we had the chance…” The Widow cried and they were married the following year… On Devil’s Night….

Top Hat’s life was short and sweet. He loved wearing his hat up and down the street. All his neighbors would stare as he’d come and go. They found it so strange he only wore his Hat and no clothes. #31skeletons #theskeletonhouse #longlivehalloween

Presenting.. The Funeral… “All of them gathered, crawling out of the cupboards, the dusty attic, the closets and crawl spaces, all the dark places where they would rest throughout the year. They came to give their respect for the loss of something so great. They came for the funeral of Halloween, laid to rest in Bound Brook, October 31st, 2020. No more parades. No more trick-or-treating. No more Halloween. They came to offer their condolences. They came to bear witness. Halloween in Bound Brook is Dead.
